Lantern Hollow

Lantern Hollow is a mood as much as a game. You wander a small town at dusk, solving environmental puzzles and slowly piecing together why the lights keep going out. The art is hand-drawn and lovely, and the sound design does a lot of quiet heavy lifting.

Puzzles lean toward observation rather than obscure logic, so you rarely feel stuck for the wrong reasons. A soft hint system nudges you if you idle too long, which I appreciated during the trickier chapters.

It's not a long game, but it's the kind you'll remember. I finished it in two sittings and immediately recommended it to someone.
