About
Pocket Playbook started as a shared notes doc between three friends who kept swapping tips over lunch. At some point we realized nobody was writing the kind of guide we actually wanted to read, so we turned the doc into a website. Everything you read here comes from us actually finishing the game, not skimming a trailer.,We pick games we're genuinely curious about, then play them long enough to form a real opinion. That means a puzzle title gets days, and a big RPG gets weeks. We take screenshots, jot down where we got stuck, and only publish once the guide feels useful to a newcomer.,The team is small on purpose. A handful of writers, one editor, and a rotating group of readers who send us corrections when we get something wrong. We update guides when a game changes so the advice stays current.,We're not tied to any studio or store. If a game is dull, we say so, and if a mechanic is clever, we'll happily spend three paragraphs explaining why.
Mateusz Kowalczyk — Mateusz has been reviewing mobile games since the early touchscreen days and still keeps a spreadsheet of every title he's finished. He edits every guide before it goes live.
